For teenagers wanting to learn to sail they can also undertake courses at The Boatshed. Teenage Learn to Sail Introduction - is only a taste, a short session and for those unsure whether they want to do the full course or not. Teenager Learn to Sail 20 hour program is an accredited 20 hours Small Boat Sailing Basic Skills 1& 2 program combined. At the end of the course we expect you to be able to jump on any boat, big and small and be a valuable sailing member. Racing Skills 2 - For those ready to interested to learn the rules of racing and enjoy the competition. Plenty of new sailing skills to be learnt. The Boatshed supplies the boats, PFD1 life jackets and instructors. What you need to bring: Bathers, Towel, Wetsuit (if available), Shorts (also ideal over wetsuit for protection), thermal underclothes ideal if available, polyester shirts and tops recommended, woolen or thermal jumpers, windproof and waterproof jacket, old sneakers or wetsuit boots, sailing gloves if available, bike golf gloves etc are good).
